Extra bedroom and a bathroom remodel

This 1930’s era Mt. Tabor area home needed an extra bedroom and a bathroom remodel for a growing family. The existing structure had and addition done previously that decreased the potential value of the home by ignoring the aesthetic qualities of the original design. Our professional Design Build team worked carefully to restore the rooflines and provide the additional space the client desired. An Engineered steel “moment frame” was required to provide the lateral support of the main structure. Special inspections were done to insure the integrity of the welds performed on site. The wood siding was matched and custom matched architectural moldings were made locally by Creative Woodworking NW, Inc. Anderson French doors were installed to provide the best in weather protection on the west-facing wall. A special membrane decking material was used for the new deck over the bathroom addition. Marvin Wood windows were installed to match the rest of the home. The bathroom remodeling included ceramic floor tile from Pratt & Larson Tile to match existing, and period style plumbing fixtures from Rejuvenation House Parts.
