Portland Metro Area Home Restoration Project
This restoration project began with the living room right next to this dining room. The Portland Metro area is home to many beautiful homes with these unique features. This room had a sliding glass door where the built in is now! The wainscot and plate shelf had been stripped off years ago (probably decades!) and the walls had outlines from the original woodwork. The ceiling was badly damaged and had no crown molding. Our craftsmen added new box beams, a new three piece crown molding system, new wainscot and plate shelf, and reconstructed the built in after removal of the aluminum sliding glass door. Most of the woodworking was milled on site.
